Jesus never started a local church or commanded anyone to start churches. Jesus made disciples and instructed His disciples to make disciples. Churches are communities of disciplemakers, not places to worship. Churches are the natural outcome of disciples making disciples.

When starting a church over twenty years ago, if I was told this one time, I was told it ten times:

Leaders must be accountable for disciplemaking. You’ve heard the adage, “Speed of the leader, speed of the team.”
Ask your spiritual leaders who they are influencing to follow Jesus. Don’t assume they are building relationships with lost people.

I love my kids! I am proud of my kids. They both have worked so hard to attain their goals. This week my son graduates from The Juilliard School. Next month my daughter completes her formal ballet training and will be moving to Germany in August to apprentice with the Dresden Ballet.
